Obaneya's Commitment

① We will contribute to society with creativity and challenge ourselves to enrich our food culture.

For Obaneya, a brand is about building trust by committing to improving quality. We believe that these things cannot be achieved overnight but must be cultivated over time.

The Obaneya brand has earned the trust of our customers, which is proof of this.

②Based in Oyama, Tochigi Prefecture, we aim to become a comprehensive food company dedicated to domestic ingredients.

We specialize in pickled burdock root but also venture into prepared foods and innovative product categories. While cherishing traditional flavors, we provide safe, reliable, and delicious products.

Our mission is to share our passion for food with Japan and the world. We will continue creating products cherished by everyone while never forgetting to challenge ourselves and grow.

③Obaneya delivers safe, simple, and delicious flavors.

1) Ingredients

Obaneya's pickle-making begins in the fields.

To bring out the unique flavor of each vegetable, we are meticulous from the very start of cultivating our ingredients. Naturally, we use domestically grown produce, and whenever possible, we source locally. You may occasionally spot Obaneya's president or employees working in the fields—this stems from our desire to collaborate with local producers and deliver delicious pickles.

2)Safety

Safety is part of what makes it delicious.

We take pride in delivering peace of mind to your daily meals. We are confident in our commitment to safety, achieved through rigorous efforts: growing vegetables using only natural soil and water without harmful chemical fertilizers, carefully selecting seasonings, maintaining strict factory hygiene, and preventing foreign object contamination. Safety is part of what makes it delicious.

3)Taste

Customers often tell us, “Obaneya's pickles taste like the vegetables themselves.” We meticulously select the soy sauce and salt that define the flavor, carefully timing each step of the process. Above all, it is the heart and love our employees pour into each product that creates the distinctive taste of Obaneya.

The abundant underground water of Oyama City aids fermentation, and the purity of this water imparts a unique flavor to Obaneya's pickles. Our meticulous production methods, designed to maximize the natural taste of the ingredients, combined with our unique, proprietary techniques, create a flavor that is distinctly Obaneya. It's a special product where you can taste the difference with just one bite.

4)Various Certificates

We also place great importance on delivering peace of mind and satisfaction to our customers through our products. To that end, we strive for thorough product safety and quality control, and have obtained various certifications. We have established a system to deliver our products with confidence to customers both domestically and internationally.
